Working at the forefront of the Biodiversity Net Gain Market

Integrated Land Management specialise in the creation and management of Biodiversity Gain Sites and the sale of BNG units.

Biodiversity Net Gain

Biodiversity Net Gain is a conservation approach for development and land management which aims to leave the natural environment in a measurably better state than before, with a focus on halting and reversing habitat decline. The Environment Act 2021 requires all new developments in England to provide a minimum 10% net gain in biodiversity from February 2024.

Through careful planning and implementation, BNG measures can include habitat enhancement, creating new habitats, restoring ecosystems, and planting native vegetation. This not only contributes to ecological health and species preservation but also improves the overall resilience and sustainability of both natural and built environments.

We provide offsite solutions that go beyond the net gain with robust, sustainable sites that will flourish for years to come.

Developers

We work with Developers to help them achieve their BNG offsetting requirements, delivering offsite biodiversity units (with no minimum requirement). We provide a comprehensive service, from advice to final implementation and management of the entire process.

Landowners

We work with Landowners to turn their Natural Capital into a sustainable, reliable and resilient income. We assess their land's potential biodiversity uplift to create biodiversity gain sites, execute biodiversity plans and sell the resulting units to developers looking to offset their BNG requirements.

Local Planning Authorities

We work with a number of LPAs nationwide, acting as a provider of Biodiversity Net Gain units. We also serve as a point of contact for developers seeking units, guiding them through the new BNG procedures.
